The Round the Island Race is exactly that… a wonderful race course circumnavigating the Isle of Wight. This sailing event is always a popular choice for corporate hospitality. The length of the course, the location, the stunning scenary and the opportunity this back drop provides for fun, business and team building is tailor-made.

Whilst you have the exhilaration of the race the course is long enough for a relaxed sail with plenty of time for conversation, giggles, team work and of course, lunch! A corporate day can’t get better! The race is sponsored by JP Morgan Fleming.

First sailed in 1931, the race still competes for the Gold Roman Bowl. Over 1700 yachts compete from Admirals Cup yachts to families but the outcome is universal; a unforgettable days sailing....come and see for yourself!

Two corporate sailing packages available:

Round the Island Package: a)  The Race day: prices from £1999 per yacht

Package 1. RTIR Single Day Event From 0530 hrs Guests arrive at SellSellSail. Welcoming on board from the skipper.Tea, coffee, orange juice. 0600 hrs Briefing on the day’s programme, yacht familiarisation and Safety procedures.The issuing of Safety equipment and waterproof clothing if the weather dictates. 0615 hrs Depart from marina and head off to the Round the Island Race start line. 0700 hrs Bacon sandwiches and tea/coffee 0810 hrs Arrive at RTIR start line and begine the Round the Island Race 1030 hrs Morning coffee 1300 hrs Lunch 1700 hrs After race return back to SellSellSail for photographs if requested. 1800 hrs Guests depart at leisure Please note that all timings are approximate and depend on weather conditions

Round the Island Package: b)  Two day sailing event:   prices from £2999 per yacht

Package 2. RTIR Overnight Sailing Event Day 1 From 1200 hrs Guests arrive at SellSellSail.Welcoming on board from the skipper.Tea, coffee, orange juice. 1230 hrs Buffet Lunch on board 1400 hrs Briefing on the afternoon's programme, yacht familiarisation and Safety procedures.The issuing of Safety equipment and waterproof clothing if the weather dictates. 1415 hrs Depart for afternoon sail of sail training including: learning points of sail, brief navigation and helming techniques. Introduction to Race sailing with the emphasis on individual duties and the part they play in sailing/racing of the yacht efficiently. Allocation of individual duties such as helming, navigating and sail trimming. 1700 hrs Arrive at Cowes or the Hamble. 1900 hrs Pre-dinner drinks. 2000 hrs Meal ashore in pre-booked pub or resturant.   Day 2 0530 hrs Light breakfast onboard. 0600 hrs Depart from marina and head off to the Round the Island start line. 0700 hrs Tea/coffee 0810 hrs Arrive at RTIR start line and begin the Round the Island Race 1030 hrs Bacon sandwiches and morning coffee 1300 hrs Lunch 1700 hrs After RTIR return back to SellSellSail for photographs if requested. 1800 hrs Guests depart at leisure Please note that all timings are approximate and depend on weather conditions
